Can someone show me a picture taken by a regular digital camera and the same picture taken by an slr camera?

Depends on the subject.

A D-SLR has a huge advantage over compacts because of its sensor size and the ability to change lenses. Because of the sensor size you can have greater BOKEH (background blur). Also, due to the sensor size, D-SLRs will produce better color.

Compacts are great because they are portable but, if you want really great photos, a D-SLR is your best bet.

they are not bad…i got one for xmas 2 years ago and i got a good week of use out of it before i dropped it and now its busted. but before i dropped it i liked it…but i think the other companies are going to be a little bit better than pentax

I currently have the Fujifilm Finepix S1500, but I want an upgrade. I just want a really good camera but I can’t decide as I don’t want to make a mistake. Preferably in the £200 or £300 price range. Much appreciated, thanks!

I currently own a Canon 1000D, and it’s the best thing that I’ve ever used. It can go for around £300 now. It boasts -

10.1 MP range, and 1/4000 shutter speed range. Good aperture. Canon has always been known for it’s wide range or lenses. The photos I have achieved with this camera are crisp quality. I’d suggest it any day.

Another good SLR in that price range is the Nikon D3000, which has pretty much the same points as the Canon.

I would suggest going to a camera shop and trying out the weighting of the camera in your hand and around your neck if you’re fussy about that.
